Description
Drone forensic course is an additional course to basic and intermediate mobile forensic courses since most of the drones are managed and controlled with mobile devices and besides doing an examination of the drone itself, there is additional drone-related data located on the mobile device that was used for control. The course will go through the basics of drones, their operating systems, storage options, brands and possibilities. Special attention will be given to data acquisition from the drone itself since there could be various storage options implemented. Participants will learn how to employ best practices in disassembling a drone to acquire embedded data and how to analyze it. The class will finish with advanced data analysis, GPS positioning and mapping, reporting and presenting the evidence in a simple jet detailed manner acceptable in court.
At the end of the course, all participants will take the exam and after successful completion will be given an official certificate for passing the course
Prerequisites
Good understanding of digital forensics principles, good knowledge of mobile forensics, basic knowledge of digital forensic tools related to mobile forensics.
