Description
The course teaches all the techniques needed for an officer to obtain information for various infotainment systems integrated into various car brands and models. Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to work with actual cars, they will be taught how to locate car systems, how to dismantle them and acquire data from them. Since there are many various systems, the class is organized that it covers the basics of car infrastructure, car networks, and systems and then specifics about each car aggrupation that share similar systems and infotainment systems. Besides infotainment systems, the course will cover other car parts that can be used to gather valuable data. The course finishes with a full practical training scenario where participants will be asked different theoretical questions based on the successful practical extractions of a car infotainment system.
At the end of the course, all participants will take the exam and after successful completion will be given an official certificate for passing the course.
Prerequisites
Good understanding of digital forensics principles, working in Microsoft Windows OS, and good mechanical skills.
*Training will be based on Berla extraction HW and SW and is expected for the client to have a Berla license.
