Keynote presentations (Grand hall - Section B) - A Convention on Electronic Evidence
Evidence in electronic format has become a normal part of life in legal proceedings across the world. Regardless of what the purpose of justice might be considered to be in any given jurisdiction, the judicial process ought to provide fairness to those taking part in the proceedings. This should include the requirement that the judge and lawyers ought to be competent when dealing with and assessing evidence in electronic format. Also, people responsible for admitting applicants to become lawyers have a duty to ensure that the future lawyer is in possession of the relevant qualifications, skills and knowledge considered necessary to enable them to provide competent advice to lay clients. This duty is extended to those people who rely on lawyers for legal advice. In order to facilitate the better understanding of electronic evidence, especially as electronic evidence crosses jurisdictional boundaries, it is considered that a Convention on Electronic Evidence will promote the need for those responsible for justice across the globe to consider the importance of the topic. This is a talk about the first draft of such a Convention. It is open to public comments and additions.

Keynote presentations (Grand hall - Section B) - Copyright protection in the film industry - new bulletproof concept
The film is an art. There is no person on the planet who does not like the film. Behind it all, in the digital era, which results in an uncontrolled multiplication of film by piracy of digital media, emerges a huge uncertainty. Last but not least, an artistic film has survived with a tremendous dive against the cannibalistic nature of television. But it will hardly survive if caught in omnipotent digital networks without one essential, though not sufficient condition: the protection of producers and copyrights. When concerning the film – all previous legal copyright protection mechanisms are only ex-post. Given the huge everyday piracy, as a producer of the film (whose author got a great interest among the audience on the notice of possible start on filming) in cooperation with Serbian Ministry of Interior, Department of Cybercrime – implementing a strict protocol of prevention in every aspect of production and film distribution, we present you the principle of the film protection which results in: The Pirate Bay – no result!
