He earned a master’s degree after graduating from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) in Zagreb. He worked in HT and Vipnet where he was in charge of design and safety of core networks and services. He also worked in the Zagreb Stock Exchange, where he designed and led several years of network and security services. He is currently employed in Croatian Academic and Research Network (CARNet) as Assistant Director for National CERT.  He has more professional level certifications pertaining to the field of networking and security: CISSP # 47263, CEH, CCSP, CCIP, CCDP, CCNP.


ACDC project - methods, results, antibotnet – National Support Centre 

The presentation will cover detailed methods, developed by National CERT Institute, used for detection of spam email (which is often the carrier of primary infection of users’ computers) and fast-flux domains (which are used by botnets). The presentation will also showcase some concrete results. National support centre (www.antibot.hr) website is going to be presented along with the security services it provides. ACDC project (Advanced Cyber Defence Centre) is a European project co-funded by European Commission which hosts 18 EU countries.
