Judges, prosecutors and lawyers are the group of professionals that are increasingly in contact with digital evidence in criminal proceedings in their day-to-day work.

Knowledge of digital forensics is important for legal entities because they admit and assess all evidence, including exhibits in the field of digital forensics. Their competence clearly does not include detailed technical knowledge, but rather recognizing the nature of digital evidence, the potential of digital forensics in general, qualified procedures for collecting digital evidence, problems as well as being familiar with the methodology of forensic investigations.

INsig2 can provide tailor-made courses for legal entities to help them understand the nature of digital evidence, digital forensics methodology and principles, but also the lifecycle of digital forensic investigation from a seizure of the digital media to presenting digital evidence to the court.
